The fifth season of broadcast shows usually marks the 100th episode. That is going to be the case for FBI Season 5, but when will the 100th episode air?
The 100th episode of broadcast shows would traditionally air at the midway point of the fifth season. After all, 22 episodes would mean the Season 4 finale would be the 88th episode.
100 episodes is a huge milestone that is rarely met now. We can blame shorter season orders and the costs of production for that. However, network TV still tries to make it to the milestone episode. It was once the number of episodes needed for syndication, although that’s dropped to 88 episodes now.
FBI Season 5 will see the 100th episode, but not in the middle of the season. It’s at the end, and here’s all you need to know about the air date.
FBI Episode 100 air date on CBS
The 100th episode of the series is also going to be the FBI Season 5 finale. The date is set for Tuesday, May 23. This is also the date of the FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted season finales.
There are no details on what to expect in the finale just yet. We’re expecting to see some sort of big storyline for the team to deal with. Maybe we’ll even see Scola become a father as Nina gives birth. Shantel VanSanten is still involved in the series and will be part of the three-way crossover event on Tuesday, April 4.
Hopefully, the finale won’t be preempted this time. The Season 4 finale was preempted rightfully due to the Texas school shooting that happened on the same day. The episode involved a potential school shooting, and it was aired during Season 5.
FBI is available to stream on Paramount+. New episodes return on Tuesday, April 4.
