We are kicking off a new month with some bad news. There isn’t a new episode of The Equalizer on tonight, but when will the series return?

If you were hoping to tune in for another episode of Queen Latifah’s series about getting justice for those who deserve it, there’s some bad news. There isn’t a new episode this week, Sunday, April 2. The show is taking a short break.

We don’t even get a rerun of the series tonight. CBS will air the 2023 CMT Music Awards throughout the whole night. Everything is preempted for that. At least we have Paramount+, which is where you can watch all previous episodes of the series.

When will The Equalizer return with new episodes on CBS?

There isn’t an episode next Sunday either. It is Easter Sunday, so that’s not all too surprising. There will likely be people traveling. So, we’re waiting a couple of weeks at the very least.

At the time of writing this, CBS has set the date for the show’s return as Sunday, April 16. There shouldn’t be any reason for CBS to change this. If it does, it will change a few plans, including the finale date of the season.

At least we’re going into this short break with some good news. We already know that The Equalizer Season 4 is happening. CBS renewed the show for two seasons in 2022. That means we don’t have to worry about it until the 2023–2024 season. I don’t think we’ll need to worry about it then, either. This remains one of the strongest shows on network TV right now.

There are no details for the episode when the show returns. That’s not too surprising with such a long break.
