Esme faced trial for murder in Accused Season 1, Episode 10. Was she found guilty? What had she actually been involved in leading to the murder?

Accused Season 1, Episode 10 started with the event that kicked off Esme’s need for justice. One of her friends was hit by a car during a white nationalist “protest,” leading to potentially being paralyzed for life.

At first, it was Esme’s girlfriend who started trolling the white nationalists online. When one turned up to the apartment, Esme stepped in and found out that her girlfriend had used Esme’s story to create the troll account. Poor, Esme!

As Esme saw what the white nationalists were doing, she felt angry that nobody was doing anything. Even the police wouldn’t help when she shared that she had spoken to someone who knew who had the car in the attack. She couldn’t just sit by and do nothing.

Was Esme found guilty in Accused Season 1, Episode 10?

We found out pretty quickly that Esme was accused of murder. The question at first was whether she had been framed by the white nationalists or not. When we saw the white nationalists figure out Esme’s true identity and threaten to kill her, we then started to wonder if she would kill just to protect herself.

Well, not at all. She got out but the car she got to the police had a bomb in it and went off as the cops went to check it out. Esme was angry, and we can’t really blame her for that.

She takes off and spends two weeks tracking down the group she tried to infiltrate. Eventually, she saw who she needed to and ran him over, killing him. That was the crime she was accused of, and she was eventually found guilty.

Sadly, camping out for two weeks in her car was what made it clear to the jury that she couldn’t be found anything but guilty. While a lot of people were on her side for what she did—getting rid of one white nationalist from the world—what she did was still premeditated and it was still murder. We ended the episode with Esme being taken to prison, where she would serve her sentence.
