When is The Rookie Season 5 finale on ABC?
The closer we get to May, the closer we get to season finales. The Rookie Season 5 finale will be here earlier than a lot of others.
We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the 2022–2023 TV season. The Rookie and more will wrap up another season of storytelling very soon. ABC is the second network to set finale dates, and many of them are much sooner than in previous years.
The Rookie will come to an end at the beginning of May. As of right now, there isn’t a sixth season confirmed. However, that isn’t to say the series will be canceled. It’s a good performer on Tuesday nights, and it’s likely coming down to cost right now. That’s the same with a lot of shows at the moment.
The Rookie Season 5 finale on ABC
The date is set for Tuesday, May 2. The episode will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT as usual. The date is certainly earlier than we’re used to. ABC usually opts for finales in the middle of the month to take advantage of the May Sweeps.
There are no details for the finale just yet. The show is now in a bit of a break, and we’re sure to get details much closer to the date the episode airs.
This is the same night as the finales for The Rookie: Feds and Will Trent. When the three shows return on Tuesday, April 18, we should see a run of new episodes until the finales.
With any hope, we’ll get a renewal for the series very soon. With the writer’s strike still potentially happening, it would be better for networks to renew current shows now to get a few scripts in the bank and not cause problems for the fall schedule.
