The FBI crossover brought all three teams together and put lives on the line. What happened to Nina Chase during the three episodes?
Caution: This post contains spoilers for the FBI crossover from Tuesday, April 4.
The first time the FBI franchise did a big crossover event, Crosby’s life was put on the line. This was to write Kellan Lutz out of the series in the Most Wanted Season 3 premiere. It wasn’t surprising then to see the stakes remain high for the second crossover event, and this time, we saw Nina’s life put on the line.
After annoying the Italian authorities (thanks, Jubal!), the team ended up without backup and Nina was shot during the case. At first, Jubal and Isobel decided not to tell Scola, but Forrester didn’t realize this and confirmed Scola’s worst fears in a phone call. That put Scola off his game for a while, but the case was solved and Scola managed to get to the hospital to see Nina.
Is Nina Chase alive in the FBI crossover?
There is some good news for Nina fans. She survived the shooting and is going to make a full recovery. This isn’t the same as Crosby’s shooting where he needed to go back home to his parents for recovery. There are no signs that Shantal VanSanten is leaving the series completely.
What about the baby, though? That was Scola’s next fear once he found out that Nina was okay. The baby seems to be fine. Nina felt him kicking.
Phew!
The two shared “I love yous” after all this, but it’s clear that this could have a knock-on effect for Scola. He’s angry that Jubal and Isobel kept this from him. While they did it for the case, it is a breach of trust for Scola. Can he come back from that?
