Is a new episode of CSI: Vegas on CBS tonight? (April 6, 2023)
CSI: Vegas fans may be surprised that the show is taking another short break but will be back soon with an explosive episode.
CSI: Vegas was forced to take a few weeks off in March due to the CBS coverage of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. It returned on Thursday, March 30th with an episode that included the return of Eric Szmanda as original CSI lab tech Greg Sanders, now helping the team.
Thus, fans may be surprised that the show is already going into a repeat this Thursday. There’s no explanation for this, with the most likely reason being that CBS wanted to hold off before running all original episodes before the Season 2 finale on Thursday, May 18.
This week’s episode will be a rerun of Season 2, Episode 7, “Burned.” Thankfully for fans, this break isn’t going to last long, with a new episode already set for next week and an intriguing plot.
What’s coming when CSI: Vegas Season 2 returns?
There isn’t long to wait for a new episode of the series. CSI: Vegas Season 2 returns on Thursday, April 13.
Season 2, Episode 18 is titled “Fractured,” with the plotline involving a masquerade party for a casino hit by a bomb. That gives the team a lot of suspects and motives as they sort through who was really responsible. There hasn’t been a promo released for it yet, although Greg will continue with the show for a while, giving some aid.
Greg will also be back in the May 13 episode, according to TVLine.
This should set up a new run of episodes before the finale, so the one-week break may be annoying after another hiatus, yet CSI: Vegas intends to continue with more fun stories until then.
