Tuesdays are usually all about the two oldest rookies. Will The Rookie and The Rookie: Feds air new episodes tonight, Tuesday, April 11?
We know there aren’t many weeks left of new episodes of our favorite TV shows. May is just around the corner, and that means finale season. The Rookie and The Rookie: Feds are coming to an end in early May, which is disappointing.
So, we want as many new episodes as possible. There is some bad news for this week, though. There is not a new episode of either show on tonight, Tuesday, April 11. We will get a rerun of the Nathan Fillion series, but there won’t be a rerun of the Niecy Nash series. Instead, there’s a double rerun of Will Trent starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
When will new episodes of The Rookie shows return to ABC?
It’s not all that clear why there is this break. The only reason we can see is that it’s for scheduling reasons. The finale date is set for both shows, and there aren’t enough episodes to fill all the weeks without breaks.
The good news is, there isn’t too long to wait for the new episodes. Both shows will return on Tuesday, April 18. We’ll get a run of all three usual Tuesday night shows starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
We’ll get a run straight through to the finale after this break. There are only three episodes of all shows, which is disappointing when you consider that none of them have been renewed just yet. The ratings have been pretty good for Tuesday nights, but the network TV landscape is changing with rising costs of production. We’re hoping for some good news very soon about the two dramas.
The Rookie shows air Tuesdays starting at 8/7c on ABC. Catch up on both on Hulu.
