If you’re hoping to enjoy a new episode of Blue Bloods this Friday night on CBS, we regret to inform you that CBS will not be airing an original episode tonight. That’s right, CBS’s Friday night dramas are all in rerun mode for the week with no new episodes coming audiences’ way this week.
With finale season approaching, many shows have been taking a few final breaks in the season as networks such as CBS look to space the remaining episodes of their shows out until May. Many CBS shows have been airing episodes at unusual rates and Blue Bloods is now the latest to join that list.
While there will not be a new episode of Blue Bloods airing tonight, CBS will be airing a rerun for fans still looking to enjoy some time with the Reagan family this evening. Tonight, CBS will show an encore of the season 13 premiere, “Keeping the Faith,” which was quite an eventful episode!
Can’t remember what went down in the episode? Here’s how CBS describes the episode:
"The job takes a dangerous turn for the Reagans when Eddie and Jamie deal with a domestic violence case associated with an investigation led by Danny and Baez. Also, Frank and his friend, Archbishop Kearns (Stacy Keach), go on a mission to avail themselves to an unfiltered look at the city; and Erin is presented with a surprising offer by her ex-husband, Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann), regarding her run for District Attorney"
Is Blue Bloods new next week? (April 21, 2023)
While many shows are taking multiple weeks off including a handful of CBS dramas such as the NCIS series, Blue Bloods will return to CBS’s schedule next Friday night! That’s right, Blue Bloods will be back with a fresh episode next Friday night and is not going on an extended break.
