Blue Bloods season 13 finale to bring back three surprising characters

Blue Bloods season 13 is going to go out with quite the bang by bringing back a handful of familiar faces for the season finale — including one character we haven’t seen on the show since season 3!

Let’s start with the casting news that no one likely saw coming. More than 10 years after her last appearance way back in season 3, original cast member Jennifer Esposito is making her way back to CBS’s hit drama where she’ll be teaming up with her former scene partner Donnie Wahlberg.

As reported by TVLine, Esposito will reprise her role as Jackie Curatola in the season 13 finale on May 19, where she’ll team up with Danny and Baez to help track down a dangerous killer. Now a Chief of Police, Jackie will help investigate a murder that seems to mimic the murders committed by Dr. Leonard Walker.

After all these years, it’ll be exciting to see Danny and Jackie team up once again and to see Esposito back on the show!

If Esposito’s return wasn’t exciting enough, the season 13 finale is also going to mark the returns of two beloved members of the Reagan family. In addition to confirming the return of Esposito, TVLine also revealed Sami Gayle and Tony Terraciano will reprise their roles as Nicky and Jack Raegan.

While the details regarding what brings them back to town remain unknown, fans can expect the pair to join the rest of the Reagan family for Sunday dinner — which is sure to be a treat! The season 13 finale will mark Gayle’s first episode back since the third episode of season 11 and Terraciano’s first episode back since the season 12 premiere.
