As we get closer to the May finales, eyes are on whether the season finales will become series finales. There were concerns about Chicago PD for a while, but that was mostly due to NBC thinking about scrapping the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. Overall, the show remains one of the strongest on the network.

Well, NBC has made a decision about the cop drama. It’s also made a decision about the entire Dick Wolf lineup on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There is a lot of good news for fans.

Is Chicago PD Season 11 happening?

NBC has decided to renew Chicago PD for its 11th season. The news comes not too long after the series celebrated its 200th episode milestone.

So far, there are no clues as to what to expect in the new season. That’s not surprising with the Season 10 finale still weeks away. While we would love to see Jesse Lee Soffer return, that’s unlikely to happen. Maybe we could get just one episode to find out what’s going on in Halstead’s head right now? There is always the chance Soffer will return to direct another episode.

The news came with confirmation that all of Dick Wolf’s fall NBC shows are renewed. The entire One Chicago and the Law & Order lineups are back for another season.

When will Chicago PD Season 11 premiere?

We’re expecting NBC to keep the series on Wednesday nights in the fall. There’s no reason to change up the schedule when it’s working so long. We’ll likely see Chicago Med and then Chicago Fire before new episodes of PD.

NBC will confirm the fall schedule during the May Upfronts. There isn’t too long to wait for that.
