Is a new episode of SWAT on CBS tonight? (April 14, 2023)

SWAT is one of the Friday shows we look forward to watching. What’s going on with the schedule tonight, Friday, April 14? Is a new episode going to air?

Friday nights are the best for TV. CBS brings us a night of drama, with SWAT kicking it all off. Hondo and the team routinely help innocent people and bring criminals to justice while dealing with their personal lives.

There is some bad news tonight. There is not a new episode of the series on. Instead, we’re heading back to the Season 6 premiere, which saw the team out in Thailand dealing with a case.

It does seem a little odd that the break is coming this week. It would have probably been best opting for the break the week before on Good Friday. It’s clear that this break is to do with scheduling needs rather than anything else.

When will new episodes of SWAT return to CBS?

The break isn’t a long one. We’ll get a new episode of SWAT Season 6 on Friday, April 21. That is next Friday! The episode will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT as usual.

Tan is the one facing a difficult personal decision in the new episode. I have a feeling that this is going to be linked to his relationship. He found out that Bonnie was having an affair. Then he found out the man she was having an affair with returned to his wife. So, he realized that Bonnie didn’t leave him for someone else; she just left him. Will this new episode see him start the divorce process?

Meanwhile, the team will need to help a prison guard’s family that has been taken hostage. The kidnappers are hiding their identities, so the team is working against the clock to figure out who they are and how to capture them.
