True Lies spoilers: What to expect in Season 1, Episode 8 (Preview)
True Lies has another fun episode this week that once more puts the Taskers’ marriage at the forefront of a mission. Here are all the True Lies spoilers you need for Season 1, Episode 8.
One of the strengths of the CBS adaption of the 1994 movie has been balancing the spy adventures of Harry and Helen Tasker with trying to handle married life. That came up in the last episode in how trying to teach Harry the tango had Helen facing up to how Harry hates asking anyone for help.
The team was distracted by a group of ex-military men taking over a defense contractor company. That had Gib in a tough spot as his father, Al (Keith David), had founded the company and built the place. He and Gib were on the outs as Al always expected Gib to follow in his footsteps running the company, but Gib chose to join Omega Sector instead.
While the team broke into the building, Helen had to play therapist for Gib and Al’s issues. It got complicated by unexpected additions and Harry was blinded by gas. It turned out the company had developed a nerve toxin to sell and the terrorists were really after that.
In the end, Gib and his dad got over their problems to help stop the terrorists and bond more. Harry also accepted he needed some help with Helen aiding him. Hopefully, they keep that up in the new episode.

“Honest Manipulations” has Helen annoyed when Harry gives her the same anniversary gift he gave her before. It turns out Gib has been buying presents for years because Harry is so busy with his spy work and Helen is upset at his manipulations.
That leads into the episode has Harry has to woo a woman as part of an assignment and Helen is more concerned about how often he’s lied to her in their marriage. While the promo promises a lot of action, it’s the martial conflict that continues to make True Lies a notable show on CBS.
