Well, that’s the case in the latest episode of FBI: Most Wanted. The Fugitive Task Force is called in when a news anchor is killed, and it could be linked to a story she’s working on.

The promo gives us a look at the situation. Remy Scott describes what’s going on. Parasocial is a term that involves people becoming obsessed with people they see on TV. It happens a lot. We often see it in fandoms when people get attached to a character and then struggle to see an actor in any other TV series or as any other type of character. They even start to see the actor as that character they played.
In some cases, it is an obsession with a real person. That’s what is happening in this episode, but the obsession is taken much further.
