Will Trent is preparing for its penultimate episode of the first season. Here are some Will Trent spoilers for what to expect for Season 1, Episode 12.
It’s been a good week for fans of the ABC crime show as the network confirmed Will Trent would return for a second season. This comes off a well-reviewed first season that’s gained good ratings to boot.
After a few weeks off, the series returned on April 18 with an episode of Will going undercover in a drug gang to find a missing DEA agent. Will bonded with a young woman involved with the gang only to realize she was actually the leader. Despite that, Will managed to save the agent and bust the gang.
The more dramatic fate was for Angie, who has been trying to fight Lenny, the foster father who raped her as a teenager. Will was upset to find drugs in Angie’s apartment, thinking she’d fallen off the wagon, leading to a fight. Angie then got a call from Lenny’s stepdaughter, Crystal, on how Lenny had gone after her.
Angie showed up at their house as Crystal and her mother railed at Lenny, with Crystal stabbing him. Determined not to see the girl’s life ruined, Angie sent the pair away, then smacked herself with a rolling pin to make it look like Lenny attacked her and she killed him in self-defense. While Omerwood saw through the story, he helped Angie sell it.
Will met Angie at the hospital as he realized the drugs were to kill Lenny and make it look like an overdose. He understood, but he and Angie realized they needed to take some time away from each other.
This sets up this week’s episode, which is going to be the first of the two-part Season 1 finale.
