Will Alaska Daily be renewed for Season 2? (Is Alaska Daily canceled?)

ABC is slowly making decisions about its shows. The renewals are coming one-by-one. What about Alaska Daily? Can we expect a Season 2 renewal?

There is no doubt that we’re ready to see more of Alaska Daily. The series proved to be an important look at a justice system that is completely flawed and broken. Eileen and Roz were able to help get justice for one Indigenous woman but there are so many more out there.

On top of that, we were left with questions about the paper’s future. Another paper has opened up, and the decision to do this is wholly personal. The journalists will have their work cut out for them if they want to find a way to save their jobs and continue to bring the truth to the people of Anchorage. Are the people of the town loyal to the paper?

We found out that Eileen and Roz decided not to take the jobs that would take them elsewhere. They can do something where they are, and that’s what they want to achieve.

Will Alaska Daily Season 2 happen at ABC?

Now we need to know if we’ll get to see what comes next for everyone. With the way the first season ended, it looks like the writers were ready for the show to be canceled. While there are some storylines left open to revisit, the main storyline of who killed Gloria is over. Eileen and Roz got to the bottom of the investigation.

That’s probably a good idea. After all, the live ratings weren’t the strongest for the series. Thursday nights after Grey’s Anatomy have been tricky for the network, so it was worrying that the Hillary Swank series was put on at that time.

There are still a fair few shows on ABC still with unknown fates. It is possible that the streaming numbers were strong enough to grant it a second season and move the show to another night. After all, there are a few other shows we’re also concerned about including Big Sky and The Company We Keep.
