Friday night has arrived, but if you’re hoping to enjoy a new episode of Blue Bloods we have some disappointing news for you.

As you might have picked up last week, there will not be a new episode of CBS’s hit Friday night drama coming fans’ way this evening. In fact, CBS won’t be airing new episodes of any of its Friday night primetime series this evening.

Rather than airing new episodes of its hit Friday night series, CBS has opted to air reruns of SWAT, Fire Country, and Blue Bloods. 

Is Blue Bloods new next week? (May 5, 2023)

While you might not be able to enjoy a new episode of Blue Bloods on April 28, the good news is that you won’t have to wait too long for the next new episode of the season! Season 13 will resume next Friday night with a new episode scheduled for May 5.

Next week, CBS has lined up what promises to be an eventful new episode that is sure to keep the Reagan family busy. Here’s what you can expect from next week’s new episode per the official synopsis for season 13, episode 19:

"Jamie partners with the FDNY to find the arsonist responsible for a massive fire at an NYPD evidence storage facility. Also, Danny and Baez feel the ripples of the storage facility fire when all the evidence against a cartel leader Danny brought to justice is destroyed; Anthony asks Erin to let him lead on a murder case when his friend is killed; and Eddie asks Frank to put her on modified duty following her divisive arrest of an anti-cop protestor at a rally."

When is the Blue Bloods season 13 finale?

With May’s arrival comes the final episodes of the current season of Blue Bloods. Season 13 will resume on May 5 with the first of its final three episodes of the season. The season will then come to a close on Friday, May 19 at 10/9c in what promises to be a must-see finale!
