Will Trent is ready to close out its first season in a wild way. Check out what’s coming in the exciting Season 1 finale with these Will Trent spoilers.

The penultimate episode of the ABC series came from the fallout of Angie covering up how the man who raped her as a teenager was killed by his stepdaughter. Angie claimed to have killed the guy herself in self-defense, with Will worried it was murder. That had Angie taken off duty.

The team caught a series of murders of people with their eyes and mouths sewn shut. When they discovered a link to foster children from the same period Will and Angie grew up, they worked the case in secret behind Amanda’s back.

What the team didn’t know was that Amanda recognized the killings as just like the ones she and former partner Evelyn (Faith’s mother) worked on when they were patrol officers. While someone was convicted of those crimes, Amanda always suspected it was someone else.

The case became more complex before Amanda and Will finally had it out, with Amanda dropping a bombshell: One of the original victims of the killer was a prostitute…and Will’s real mother. Will was outraged at Amanda for keeping this from him.

But a bigger problem came when Angie didn’t show up for her hearing. Coming home, Will found signs of a struggle and Angie’s photograph with her eyes crossed out and realized she had been abducted. This sets up the big season finale.
