We’re getting closer and closer to the FBI Season 5 finale. Is there going to be a new episode on CBS tonight, Tuesday, May 2?

We’re at that point where we want new episodes of our favorite shows but we also don’t. New episodes mean that we’re one step closer to the end of the season, and we’re just not ready to say goodbye for the summer months to some shows. FBI is one of them.

At least going into the final episodes of Season 5 isn’t too scary. We already know that Season 6 is a go. CBS renewed all three shows in the franchise for two seasons last year.

So, in a little bit of good news for some, there isn’t a new episode of the series tonight. We will get a rerun of the New York office fighting crime, as CBS schedules out the episodes for the finale at the end of the month.

When will FBI return with new episodes on CBS?

This is a short break. Just like The Equalizer and other Sunday shows this week, the show is taking just a week off until new episodes air. This should be the last break with new episodes now until the finale on Tuesday, May 23.

When the series returns, we’ll see the team tasked with finding the kidnapped child of a prominent U.S. senator. It’s clear that this is a targeted attack, and this senator is willing to do whatever it takes to get their child back.

However, it turns out that this case may be linked to one from the past. The team uncovers a similar case that local authorities once looked into. That case was pushed to one side and left to go cold. What are the chances that the other case was someone without money or a prominent position, showing the differences in what money can do to keep a case open?
