If there is one thing Accused has opened us up to, it’s the broken justice system. It’s full of bias, as we saw with a number of episodes. As viewers, we assumed that the individuals were guilty until the full story came out.

Then there were the stories that showed other failings. There were failings in the police work to get justice in the first place, and there were failings in the mental health system. Every episode has given us something different, and we’re certainly ready for more.

The bad news is we won’t get more for a little while. There isn’t a new episode of Accused on tonight, Tuesday, May 16.

When will Accused return with new episodes?

There is not going to be a new episode of the series for a while. The previous episode was the Season 1 finale. That means we’re waiting until at least the end of the summer.

The good news is FOX has renewed this anthology series. Now we just need to know when it will fit in the 2023-2024 schedule. This is a series that was held for the midseason this year, and it could be held again next year.

Something that isn’t helping with figuring out when shows will return is the MGA writers strike. This is one that could go on for weeks, and that could mean a delay in getting work done on the scripts for the next season of TV shows. That’s going to delay production, post-production, and premiere dates. Maybe it will make sense to keep this show as a midseason one.
