The penultimate episode of CSI: Vegas Season 2 had the team investigating the murder of a TV weatherman found dead inside a peanut factory. This had them uncovering how his TV station was full of backstabbing coworkers jockeying for attention. Eventually, it turned out the weatherman had stumbled upon two workers having an affair and was killed to keep it quiet.
During all this, Max was mulling over who to promote to the day shift supervisor position, with the gang taking bets on who it’d be. In the end, Max gave the spot to Allie, who was honored to accept it.
Folsom was distracted throughout the case investigating his mom, Jeanette, who he was convinced was back in the drug game. He pulled a file on it from the LVPD, which had Seerena upset, and they agreed to take a break. The episode ended as Folsom saw Jeanette dealing and had to figure out what to do. This sets up the big Season 2 finale.
