Sundays have been all about the new cop drama East New York. Will there be a new episode of the series on tonight, Sunday, May 21?

We got some bad news earlier this month. CBS has decided to cancel East New York. The decision came when the network un-canceled SWAT, as the two shows were apparently fighting for the same time slot.

There is even more bad news when it comes to this show. There is not a new episode of the series on tonight. In fact, there isn’t even a rerun. The previous episode was the Season 1 finale, which is now the series finale. The show is being shopped around, but there has been no movement on it yet.

When will East New York return to CBS?

We won’t get any more episodes of the series on CBS. There is a chance the show will be saved as it is being shopped around, but there is no guarantee just yet.

So, what’s on CBS instead tonight? NCIS: Los Angeles‘s series finale will air in the 9 p.m. ET/PT time slot tonight. You’ll then need to stick with the network in the final hour of the night. There is A Salute to NCIS: Los Angeles, which will give us some interviews and footage to help us say goodbye to the long-running series.

As of right now, you can still watch East New York on Paramount+. This show could move streamers eventually. It was part of the negotiations between CBS and Warner Bros. Studios. CBS wanted to have more seasons available on the CBS streamer instead of just the most recent season.
