We are definitely ready to see FBI: International Season 3. The bad news is we have to wait for the new episodes on CBS. How long is that wait going to be?
We love seeing the Fly Team in action. They bring us dangerous cases that keep us guessing to the end. We’re ready to see more from the series, but there is some bad news. We will not get any more new episodes of the series this month.
In fact, we’re now into the summer break. The Tuesday, May 23 episode was the FBI: International Season 2 finale. That means the summer hiatus is here, and this one could be a little longer than we’d like. It’s not that CBS wants to move it out of the fall schedule, but that there is a current situation making filming impossible.
When will the FBI: International Season 3 premiere air on CBS?
The good news is FBI: International Season 3 is happening. CBS has even penciled the show in for a fall start. The plan is to keep Tuesdays the same, with the Fly Team airing in the middle time slot of the night.
This is where there are problems. Usually, that would mean a September 2023 premiere date. However, the WGA writers strike is still going, and this does not look like it will end any time soon. So, the shows don’t have scripts to start filming.
On top of that, SAG is looking at potentially striking in July. That would push back production and post-production, making a fall start even more impossible.
ABC is so certain that episodes won’t be ready that it’s opted for an unscripted lineup throughout the fall. The scripted shows will return in 2024. We could see CBS change its tactic as it gets into the summer, pushing FBI: International Season 3 to 2024.
