Is a new episode of CSI: Vegas on CBS tonight? (May 25, 2023)

CSI: Vegas has wrapped up Season 2 with a dramatic cliffhanger putting one cop in danger. Is there a new episode tonight, and how long until fans see a return for the show?

Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for the CSI: Vegas Season 2 finale 

The Season 2 finale opened with Folsom’s mother, Jeanette, still dealing drugs. She showed up for a meet only to find her partner dead and was horrified to realize she was next. The team had to find their bodies and break it to a devastated Folsom. The newly promoted Allie soon directed them to find clues.

Prevented from working the case himself, Folsom recruited his old friend Trey to help him find the truth. They tracked down Khan, the middleman of the drug dealers and tortured him, Folsom using a trick to make Khan think he was bleeding out to claim his cousin was the killer.

Folsom seemed ready to let Khan go until seeing wounds on his arm and realized he was the one who killed Jeanette, putting him in a rage. The team soon found Khan’s body stabbed to death and tracked Folsom, who simply said, “I found him,” as they brought him in.

So did Folsom truly kill Khan? Or is he unaware someone else is setting him up for it? And how long until viewers find out?

When is CSI: Vegas returning?

The good news is that CSI: Vegas is indeed coming back for another season. It’s moving to Sunday nights. The bad news is it’s going to be a long wait for viewers. The series is not on CBS’s fall schedule, meaning it’s likely being held back for midseason on Sunday nights and thus a shorter run of episodes.

When that will happen is up in the air, given the ongoing Writer’s Guild of America strike that’s affecting numerous TV shows. Thus, it’ll be until 2024 when CSI: Vegas fans finally learn Folsom’s fate and what new mysteries the gang will tackle.
