The Chicago PD finale was a wild affair putting one cop in danger, but who ultimately paid a price on the show? Find out here!
Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for the Season 10 finale of Chicago PD
The episode opened with Ruzek still undercover to discover what white supremacist Richard Beck was up to. When he found Beck’s daughter Samantha about to leave and saying Beck had stepped up his plans for an attack, Rusek revealed he was a cop to arrest her.
Samantha wasn’t happy to find out Ruzek had been lying to her all this time but eventually agreed to help in exchange for a plea deal and protection for her and her son. They raided a house packed with explosives, Atwater barely getting everyone out before it exploded.
Ruzek came to get Samantha and Cal, only to find the boy holding a gun on him, having figured out who Ruzek was. Totally brainwashed by his racist grandfather, Cal shot Ruzek with Samantha leaving him lying there. Luckily, Ruzek was able to call for help to get to the hospital.
The cops soon focused on Samantha, who wanted to claim she shot Ruzek to protect her son. But then Beck showed up to make things worse.
Who ultimately died in the Chicago PD Season 10 finale?
A tense showdown took place, with Beck holding Cal hostage to try and escape. Before he could, Atwater shot him dead. Rather than be grateful, Cal stared hatefully at Atwater to show this wasn’t over.
The episode ended with Hank and Chapman sharing a drink while Burgess checked in on Adam at the hospital. Thus, the case is ended, but Ruzek’s condition is still unknown. It’s also likely Cal now has a hate for Atwater that can lead to trouble down the road.
Fans will have to wait until Season 11 to see Ruzek’s fate as Chicago PD ended with a bloody road.
