Based on a True Story cast: Who stars in the Peacock series?
Peacock has been enjoying some success with recent crime comedies like the critically acclaimed Poker Face. Now, it’s preparing for a new show called Based On a True Story. Who stars in this new comedy, and what is it about?
Based On a True Story focuses on Ava and Nathan Bartlett, a typical middle-class suburban couple. They have problems from Nathan being out of work to Ava being pregnant. The pair are also obsessed with true crime podcasts, with Ava and a group of friends trying to figure out the truth first.
While out one night, Ava and Nathan see the latest killing of a serial killer plaguing the city. Ava is convinced she knows the killer’s identity and hits upon what she thinks is a genius scheme: Start a podcast on the murders with the killer as one of the guests, expose him on air, and they’ll become rich and famous.
From there, the couple is on a wild adventure putting them in the killer’s crosshairs as their bumbling attempts at crime-solving may just make them the next victims.
Who stars in Based on a True Story?
The big name in the cast is Kaley Cuoco as Ava. The Emmy-nominated star of The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant should be able to handle the wild antics. Notably, that’s not a fake belly, as Cuoco was truly pregnant while filming the show.
Chris Messina is Nathan and should likewise be able to match Cuoco in the crazy comedy. Tom Bateman is the man Ava is convinced is the true killer with the question of whether or not she’s right.
Also filling the cast are Liana Liberato, Priscilla Quintana, and Natalia Dyer.
