Nancy Drew is back for its fourth and final season, and, as usual, Nancy is in the thick of a new mystery. She’s also got a new man in her life, which may play on the complicated love triangle. Who is he, and who plays him?
Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for Nancy Drew Season 4, Episode 1
As viewers remember, Season 3 had Nancy discovering she was under a curse, so if she ever got together with love Ace, Ace would suffer a horrible death. Thus, Ace was confused at Nancy being so wary of him until she finally explained the truth. Ace understood as he vowed to find a way to break the curse.
The gang was distracted by a mystery of bodies vanishing from the nearby cemetery. At first, Ace was suspected of graverobbing until the incredible truth came out: the bodies were zombies who had risen from their own graves.
During this, Nancy met with Tristan, a handsome fisherman at the local docks who helped her hide from the cops searching for Ace. Their banter was nice until the closing minutes of the episode revealed Tristan was the son of Jonas and Shelby Glass, the supernatural antiquities collectors who’d like an in at the Horseshoe Bay Historical Society and who tried to kill Ryan earlier in the episode.
Thus, Nancy has a new admirer, but who plays him?
Who plays Tristan Glass in Nancy Drew?
Tristan is played by Henrique “Henry” Zaga, a Brazilian actor. He broke out playing Josh Diaz on Teen Wolf and roles on 13 Reasons Why and Sunspot in The New Mutants movie. He also played Nick Andros in the 2020 TV series version of Stephen King’s The Stand.
The actor remains busy with various projects, so it’s likely he won’t be a regular on the show. Given this is the final season, having a long-term romance with Nancy seems out of the picture, but Tristan’s presence, from bantering with Nancy to what his parents are up to, adds to the drama. It also has the question of how involved he is in his parent’s activities and if he’s really a nice guy.
As it stands, Zaga offers another layer of mystery to Nancy Drew as she works to solve her last cases on The CW.
