Chicago PD Season 11 will not premiere on NBC in June 2023
We need answers to our burning questions after that Chicago PD Season 10 finale. When will Chicago PD Season 11 premiere on NBC?
It’s that time of year again. Our favorite broadcast shows are on hiatus. Yes, that includes Chicago PD. Season 11 will not premiere in June 2023, but that’s not all that surprising. Even if there weren’t other things going on in the world of production, NBC wouldn’t premiere a big show this time of year. The linear ratings take a dive as people spend more time out with their families.
We need the 11th season sooner rather than later, though. After all, we have a lot of questions about Adam.
When will Chicago PD Season 11 premiere on NBC?
We have a wait on our hands. The good news is NBC is happy with the performance of the series. It will remain on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following new episodes of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire. The bad news is we can’t say it will premiere in September like we usually do.
The writers strike continues, and this is set to be a long one. There are no signs of movement just yet, and this is going to have a knock-on effect for all scripted programming. On top of that, there is a chance that the actors will go on strike in July, furthering the delay.
NBC is still planning on a relatively normal fall, just like CBS. ABC has opted for an unscripted fall schedule with all the scripted shows held until 2024. It may have been a better idea for NBC to do this with anything that doesn’t already have episodes ready (such as Quantum Leap), but we’ll see how things go. There is a lot unknown at this point.
Chicago PD is available to stream on Peacock.
