Accused Season 2 will not premiere on FOX in June 2023

There were always numerous things working against a June premiere for Accused Season 2. When could we see the anthology series return to FOX?

Nearly everything was working against Accused returning in June. This was a midseason series to start with, and it’s a fairly big one for FOX. Why would FOX want to bring back a successful show in the summer? Then we have to include the writers strike, which is going to cause delays for production if it goes on for any longer.

So no, unsurprisingly, Accused Season 2 is not going to premiere this month. When could we expect to see it? Will it premiere in 2023 at all?

When will Accused Season 2 premiere on FOX?

It’s not clear when this show will premiere right now. FOX hasn’t accounted a fall schedule at all at this point. Due to the writers strike, there’s no guarantee that any scripted shows will be ready for a fall start. FOX is keeping things open right now. If it means an unscripted fall, so be it. However, if some scripted shows can fit in, the network will try to make it work.

But what about this show in particular? There’s a chance that Accused Season 2 was always going to be held for the midseason anyway.

This is a show that was announced back in May 2021 and it didn’t premiere until January 2023. We could see it held for January 2024 as the best time of year for the live ratings. While it was a good performer, it wasn’t the strongest. The ratings saw a decline week after week, and FOX will need to consider that when it comes to scheduling.
