Sundance Now is getting more into the original crime drama game with the new series Clean Sweep. What is this new thriller about and who stars in it? Find out!
Originally broadcast in Ireland, Clean Sweep focuses on Shelly Mohan, the typical wife and mother. She fills her days handling her three kids, cooking, cleaning, shopping etc. She’s happy with her life until someone from her past shows up. Before she knows it, Shelly has killed someone.
Complicating matters more is that her husband, Jason happens to be the detective assigned to the case. As Jason is unknowingly closer to the killer than he realizes, Shelly has to figure a way out of this mess while the show unravels the mystery of who she truly is and why she did this.

"Shelly Mohan is super mom. Her secret power? Multitasking. She juggles the complex lives and schedules of three kids, ages 10, 11 and 15. Her days are filled with cooking and cleaning, shopping and chauffeuring and somehow manages to have a home-cooked meal on the table by the time her husband Jason, a Galway Garda detective, arrives home every night. It’s chaotic and hectic and mostly thankless but it is a life Shelly is happy with. But when a dark secret emerges from her past, she makes a fatal choice to prevent the truth from surfacing."
Who stars in Clean Sweep?
The main star is Charlene McKenna as Shelly, with Barry Ward as Jason. Jeanne Nicole Ni Ainle is Fiona, Jason’s partner, who’s suspicious of his investigation. The series is created by Gary Tieche (Preacher), who also wrote five of the six episodes.
