Based on a True Story is available to stream on Peacock on Thursday, June 8. It’s a binge-watch release. How many episodes will there be to get through?

While many other shows on Peacock are released weekly, we’re getting a binge-watch release with Based on a True Story. That’s great news for those who want to find out if Ava is right with the killer as soon as possible.

Of course, with a binge-watch release, you need to make time for it. That’s why it’s so important to know how many episodes there are. Just how long will it take you to get through the season?

Based on a True Story episode count?

The new series has eight episodes in total. All eight episodes are available at once.

The episodes are set to be around an hour in length. This is streaming, though, so there are no limitations on the time like there are with cable and broadcast networks. There’s no need to worry about ads, which means going over the standard 42 minutes is possible and happens regularly.

Throughout the course of the season, we’ll watch Ava start her podcast thinking that she knows who the killer is. She wants to use her podcast as a way to out the killer, which should mean that her podcast goes big. Of course, this is a TV show. What are the chances that she’s got completely the wrong person?

Will there be more to the story after this? That’s something we’ll need to wait and see about. As of right now, there isn’t a second season confirmed, but that could just be because NBCUniversal wants to see how the series performs on Peacock first.
