With the way The Equalizer Season 3 ended, we need more to the story. Please tell us that there will be a Season 4. Has CBS renewed or canceled the show?
Our favorite network dramas have come to an end for another season. Of course, a lot of shows ended on cliffhangers, and that was certainly the case for The Equalizer Season 3.
We were left watching in horror, along with McCall, as someone set fire to a room that Harry, Mel, and Dante were trapped in. All three were tied to chairs, and there’s a chance that we’ll lose one of our major players.
Of course, we have one question before we even get into whether anyone will live or die. We need to know if there’s going to be another season to resolve this cliffhanger. Did CBS cancel the show, leaving the lives of the characters in limbo?
Is The Equalizer Season 4 happening at CBS?
Fans may be worried that they didn’t hear anything about a renewal of the show this year. Does that mean it’s canceled? Well, no. It’s actually because the show was renewed for two seasons back in May 2022.
That’s right; at the time of hearing about The Equalizer Season 3, we also heard that there would be a fourth season. The writers were able to craft the storyline with this major cliffhanger knowing that there would be time to resolve it.
The two-season renewal wasn’t all that surprising. This is a show that has routinely sat toward the top of the scripted dramas on the network. The post-Super Bowl timeslot for the series premiere helped but the continued high-quality writing has been what kept people tuned in. And Queen Latifah, of course!
So now we just wait for the new season. The bad news is that we could be in for a long wait due to the writers strike.
The Equalizer Season 3 is available to stream on Paramount+.
