We’re ready to see Robyn McCall find a way to save her friends, but will that happen soon? Is The Equalizer Season 4 coming in 2023?

The Equalizer Season 3 left us with one big question: would any of McCall’s friends survive? She was left watching in horror as a match was lit on fuel in a room where Mel, Harry, and Dante were tied to chairs. It doesn’t look like they’ll be able to get out of this one, and it looks like Michelle got her revenge.

We need the new season right away. Of course, we’ll have to wait until at least the fall for the new episodes. The question is whether The Equalizer Season 4 will be part of the fall 2023 schedule or not.

When will The Equalizer Season 4 come to CBS?

This is where we start with some bad news. There is a chance that we won’t get The Equalizer Season 4 in 2023.

This isn’t because the show isn’t popular. CBS does want the Queen Latifah series to return in the fall. It’s got its slot back on Sunday nights, running straight after football or at 8 p.m. ET/PT on weekends when CBS doesn’t have the afternoon game. However, there is one thing working against scripted programming right now: the WGA strike.

The writers remain on strike. This could go on throughout the summer, and it’s preventing shows from filming. The shows need to film in the summer if they want to premiere in the fall. CBS looks like it might bring back shows as they’re ready, but there is a chance that The Equalizer and others can’t return until 2024.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this. We just can’t tell what’s going to happen. While the directors guild came to an agreement, the writers haven’t yet and there is a chance the actors could go on strike in July, which will further disrupt all of production.

The Equalizer is available to stream on Paramount+.
