Will Blue Bloods Season 14 come to CBS in 2023?

The Reagans are taking a break, but they will be back. The whole family is joining us for a 14th season, and we’re more than ready to see it already. Of course, the show is on a brief hiatus at the moment. It’s the summer. This break is usual.

How long is the break going to be, though? Will we get to see the series return in 2023? Is CBS pushing it to the fall?

Blue Bloods Season 14 may premiere in 2023

There is a chance we’ll see the season premiere this year. CBS does want that to happen. The show is part of the fall lineup, ending off the Friday night dramas as usual.

This is where we have some bad news. There is a chance that the series will be delayed. We’re not expecting it at the end of September or the start of October at all. The writers strike is going to cause a delay to production. If the actors go on strike too, that’s going to lead to a further delay.

ABC opted for a strike-proof fall schedule. All scripted shows are pushed to 2024. CBS didn’t opt for that but may have to pivot to it. If the shows aren’t ready, there will be unscripted options available instead. We could see CBS make a decision about that very soon.

As of right now, everything is in the air. We’ll know a little more once the writers go back to work, but we don’t want that happening until the writers get a fair deal. Anything short of that will affect the industry too much.
