Cordell Walker and co. will be back for another season, but not just yet. When will Walker Season 4 premiere on The CW? Will it be in the fall?

We are definitely ready to see what’s to come next in the world of Walker. A lot happened in the third season, which means a lot to follow on with in Season 4. The bad news is we don’t get to find out what’s next just yet.

It’s not all that surprising that the series is not back in July. This is the time for acquisitions and unscripted programming for the broadcast networks. The shows are cheaper to air, so they can come on during the times of lower linear ratings. So, now eyes are on how long this hiatus is going to be.

When will Walker Season 4 premiere on The CW?

This is where we do have some bad news. The CW has opted not to put the show on in the fall schedule. This isn’t all to do with the writers strike, though.

The CW has been through major changes in terms of ownership. A lot of shows were canceled, including Walker‘s spin-off prequel Walker IndependenceThe CW decided to cut this cop drama down to just 13 episodes, which has started to become the norm for a lot of CW shows recently.

The series is going to be held for the midseason because of this. It makes sense as it can premiere in February and run through to May with ease. That could be when we expect to see the series, especially with the writers strike going on. This is going to delay production for all shows, which is delaying a lot of premiere dates. With a delayed return already, it should mean that Walker Season 4 isn’t affected too heavily.

Walker is available to stream on Max.
