School Spirits Season 2 is not coming to Paramount+ in July 2023

School Spirits fans got some great news. A second season is officially happening. When can we expect School Spirits Season 2 on Paramount+?

June brought us the great news that School Spirits is coming back for another season. Considering the cliffhanger ending with the first season, that’s great news. This turned out to be everything other than your typical “whodunit” style of series.

In fact, it turned out there wasn’t a “murder” at all. We’ll let you read the finale spoilers if you want to understand that statement a little better.

So, now eyes are on when the new season will premiere. We have a wait on our hands, and part of that is certainly linked to the strike action that’s been going on.

When will School Spirits Season 2 come to Paramount+?

We would love to see a short turnaround time, but that simply isn’t going to happen. School Spirits Season 2 is not coming in 2023 at all. Production won’t start until 2024, so we’re looking at the end of 2024 as a premiere at the earliest.

Now for some more bad news. Writing work can’t start yet. The strike is still going. The longer the strike goes on, the longer the delay to production will be. With a 2024 date for production, that’s going to ease things off a little. It looks like a lot of studios are expecting this strike to go on longer, and that’s because some studios aren’t even interested in having a discussion yet!

Based on the quality of the first season, the second season is going to be more than worth waiting for. It’s a shame it didn’t get a two-season renewal to help solidify its success a little considering the delay we’ll get. We know the pandemic delays cause a lot of shows to end up canceled, and we’re worried about the writer strike delays having the same effect.
