School Spirits Season 2 is not coming to Paramount+ in 2023

Now that we know School Spirits Season 2 is happening, we’re ready to see the episodes. When can we expect the premiere to air on Paramount+?

There was some great news in June when Paramount+ confirmed that School Spirits would be renewed. It wasn’t surprising considering the social media follow the series got. The question was always whether enough people were actually watching the series.

Well, they were. Now we know that we’ll get some sort of resolution to that major cliffhanger at the end of Season 1. The bad news is that we have a wait on our hands.

This is not a series heading to us this year. Will we get School Spirits Season 2 in 2024, or will we need to wait much longer?

When will School Spirits Season 2 come to Paramount+?

There is a wait due to the writers strike and due to production being held. When announcing the renewal, Paramount+ made it clear that production wouldn’t start until 2024. This could be linked to the writers strike, but it could also be linked to the schedules of other cast members.

Peyton List is also in the final season of Cobra Kai. While that series is on a production hold due to the writers strike at the moment, it will return as soon as possible. List will be needed there and will then be able to continue work on her new series.

There is also the fact that time is needed to write the scripts. At least with Cobra Kai, some of the work is already done and it will be quick for the writers to get back into their rooms and get on with the writing process. For School Spirits, there is planning to do before the writing.

This pushes a premiere date to late 2024 at the earliest. We could be looking at 2025.
