Is Walker Season 4 coming to The CW in 2023?

We would love to see what’s next for Cordell and the Walker clan. When will the Walker Season 4 premiere air on The CW? Will it be in 2023?

It took some time for The CW to confirm, but Walker Season 4 is definitely happening. It’s one of just four shows from the current CW slate to make it through the Nexstar takeover. Sadly, the fight to save Walker Independence came to an end without success.

Eyes are now on when we can expect to see the new season. Of course, there is a lot in the air this year, and it’s not just to do with Nexstar taking over The CW. The writers strike is also playing a huge effect on fall schedules across the broadcast networks.

When will Walker Season 4 premiere on The CW?

Is there a chance that we’ll get to see Walker Season 4 before the year comes to an end? That would be a no. The CW has opted for a fall schedule that is almost strike-proof. It’s full of acquisitions and reality shows, although All American Season 6 is also on the list.

The CW has opted to hold Walker until 2024. The earliest we’ll get it is in January, but we see a lot of new midseason shows begin in February and later.

We know there will only be 13 episodes to the story. This is disappointing for those who want a full season, especially as it could hint that this season is going to be the last. Is it possible that Nexstar has offered the series a final season just to wrap up storylines?

The reduced episode count could also just be a way to save money. Nexstar wants to get back to each episode costing no more than $1m each, but that’s pretty impossible with the current slate. Reducing the episode order will help to reduce costs to make up for that.
