Is Chicago PD Season 11 coming to NBC in 2023?
Usually, we would have said Chicago PD Season 11 was definitely going to arrive this year. Things are looking very unusual, though.
We are more than ready to see what’s coming next for Intelligence. Things ended with a bit of a question mark as Ruzek wasn’t awake after his surgery. Would he pull through everything, or are we saying goodbye to another main character?
We need Season 11 to find out. Usually, we would expect to see the series return at the end of September. NBC plans to keep it as a fall show, which should mean a fall start. Things aren’t looking too great for that to happen, though.
When will Chicago PD Season 11 premiere on NBC?
The current strike action has caused a lot of delays. Without writers going back to their rooms, there have been no scripts to film. Chicago PD didn’t get an early renewal. And it had run out of seasons from its multi-year renewal. So, writers didn’t have the chance to get ahead with scripts the way they could have done in the past.
Broadcast networks will need to look at another plan for their fall schedules. ABC already opted for an unscripted fall, which is going to work in its favor. It’s consistent, and that’s what viewers want. CBS and NBC tried to keep things normal, but that isn’t going to pay off.
We could end up waiting until 2024 for new episodes. It all depends on how the strike action continues. The sooner the strike action ends, the sooner the episodes will be ready. However, we only want everyone to go back to work when there is a fair deal on the table, and it’s clear not all the production studios are really that interested in negotiating.
Chicago PD is available to stream on Peacock.
