Accused Season 2 is definitely not coming in 2023

We had wondered if FOX would move Accused to the fall schedule in 2023. The fall 2023 schedule is now out, and there’s no Accused Season 2.

Accused started off strong on FOX. When the series was renewed, we did wonder if it would be moved to the fall. After all, there were some fall shows being removed from the schedule completely.

There was just one thing in the way: the writers strike. FOX opted not to set its fall schedule in May due to the strike. The network wanted to see how things would play out. That strike is still going, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Rumor has it that the studios are looking at starving the writers out instead of negotiating in good faith—and I have less and less respect for the studios the more I hear.

Without writers at work, there are no scripts to work with. Production can’t happen, so it isn’t that surprising to see that FOX has decided not to move Accused to the fall.

When will Accused Season 2 premiere on FOX?

How long will we need to wait for the series to premiere? That is anyone’s guess at this point. All we know right now is that the season will not premiere in 2023. We have to wait until January 2024 at the earliest.

The fall will be made up of unscripted shows and animated programs. The animated shows will have had episodes written ahead of time, and the voice actors are likely well-versed in ad-libbing for their characters when needed. It makes sense that they can go ahead as normal, just like they did in the pandemic year.

As for Accused Season 2, we won’t be able to make a guess until the strike comes to an end. Once everyone is back at work, then we’ll get an idea of how long production will take and when the networks can fit shows into their schedules.
