We are more than ready to see the BAU back in action. When will Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 come to Paramount+? Will it happen in 2023?

For a while, it looked like the Criminal Minds revival wouldn’t even happen. The pandemic put a lot on hold. Then it arrived, and it was everything we needed. It wasn’t too surprising to hear that the series would be renewed for a second season.

Now eyes are on when that second season will arrive. After all, Evolution premiered back in November 2022. Could we see the second season arriving in November 2023? I wouldn’t count on something like that happening.

When will Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 come to Paramount+?

There is one thing working against Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 coming in 2023. It’s all about the strike action.

The writers strike has been going on since May. That immediately caused problems for Evolution, as the scripts hadn’t been written. Now the actors are on strike. Even if a deal is reached for the writers, the actors being on strike means production won’t happen.

All this strike action is going to delay everything this year. Criminal Minds is one of those shows delayed. Even if the plan was to film in the summer and premiere the season in the fall, that’s not likely to happen now. We could have to wait until 2024.

When in 2024? Well, that all depends on when the shows are able to get back to work. Paramount+ has a few shows waiting to get back into production, including SEAL Team and School Spirits. We could see something like after the pandemic where there is a long break and then suddenly a lot of shows to air, which affects scheduling plans.
