What is FBI True about?
CBS has announced its fall plans, and it includes some streaming shows getting a linear outing. FBI True is one of those shows, but what is it about?
If you haven’t heard about FBI True, don’t feel too ashamed. Despite it running for three seasons, it’s not had a linear outing. This is another streaming series, and you will have needed Paramount+ to watch it.
Of course, you may have Paramount+ to catch up on the likes of FBI and NCIS, but you may not have watched the original programming. CBS is going to make it much easier to watch this show as it will get a linear viewing during the fall. This is a way to bring some new content to the network as the strike action in the industry continues to prevent filming from happening.
What is FBI True about?
So, what is this Paramount+ series about? It is what it sounds like. It follows the true stories of the FBI.
Throughout the three seasons, we’ve heard from real FBI agents as they share their cases. They talk about the dangers of the jobs, and the ways they had to go about to catch their suspects. We’ve seen it fictionalized on so many TV shows, but this is a chance to hear from the real people to get a fresh insight.
Each episode follows a different case. Things start off with a look at The Manhatten Bomber, who detonated a bomb in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, killing 30 people. How did the teams track the bomber down and bring him to justice?
In the second episode, we hear from an FBI profiler, who talks about the darker inner secrets of a serial killer who prowled Yosemite National Park. You think you know the cases from the news, but there are many layers to the investigations.
This is going to be a great series for fans of true crime.
FBI True will air on Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS in the fall. All three seasons are on Paramount+.
