At the end of Nancy Drew Season 4, Episode 8, it was clear that Nancy realized that she needs to go after the Sin Eater. That’s a creature that turned up a couple of episodes ago without an official title. If you looked at the credits, you would have seen the creature given a name.
Well, it looks like it’s time to go after that creature. Is it a way to bring an end to the curse?

As usual, there isn’t a promo for the new episode. This is disappointing considering we’d love to get a real idea of what to expect in the new episode. The synopsis doesn’t give us much to work with.

Nancy Drew spoilers: 4×09 synopsis
The synopsis tells us that the Drew Crew will go after the Sin Eater. That’s it.
Why the Sin Eater now? Well, it’s based on some of the revelations during the previous episode.
A Sin Eater in religious terms was a person who would eat the sins of the dead. The Catholics would place bread on the body of the dead person and then the Sin Eater would come to eat the bread. The idea was that it would lighten the soul so that the deceased would go to Heaven.
In Nancy Drew, it’s clear that this creature is nothing like the Catholic folklore. Although, is there something similar within it? It must have something to do with the soul based on the title of the episode. The episode is titled “The Memory of the Stolen Soul,” which could suggest that the Sin Eater’s soul has been stolen and now it eats the sins of others.
