We’re certainly ready to see what the New York Field Office is up to in FBI Season 6. When can we expect the season to premiere on CBS?
Eyes are on when we can expect to see our favorite scripted show to return. We never would have expected FBI Season 6 to premiere in August 2023, even under normal circumstances. This is a fall drama, which we tend to see return in September of each year.
However, this year is very different. We’re not going to see new episodes involving Maggie, OA, and the team at all in 2023. What is going on with the CBS schedule?
When will FBI Season 6 premiere on CBS?
The new season isn’t expected until 2024. We’re saying January 2024 for now, but that is tentative. There is a lot in limbo at the moment.
CBS did originally want to bring the new episodes in the fall. At the May Upfronts, all three FBI shows were on the list for Tuesday nights, and that was despite the writers strike just starting. It was likely because the strike had only just started that CBS was hopeful that fall would happen as normal. There was time to strike a deal.
A deal didn’t happen and then the actors joined the writers. Production has come to a complete halt for all broadcast shows, and that means we won’t have many scripted shows returning in fall 2023. There will be FBI reruns on Tuesday nights, though.
Could we see FBI Season 6 arrive in January 2024? That is possible, but only if this strike action comes to an end before the end of October. Currently, negotiations have come to a halt, and it looks like we’re in for a very long summer and fall as the studios come together with a proposal that is fair to both the writers and the actors.
FBI is available to stream on Paramount+.
