We would love to check in with Jane Tennant and the team already, but there’s some bad news. We have a long wait for NCIS: Hawaii Season 3.
Eyes are on when our favorite shows are returning. Usually, we would expect to see some sort of update by now. Of course, we never expect to see NCIS: Hawaii return in the summer months. This is one of the bigger shows on the network, so it’s going to be part of the fall schedule.
There’s just some bad news for 2023. The fall schedule will look nothing like normal. NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 will not arrive in 2023 at all, but that isn’t CBS’s choice.
When will NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere on CBS?
The current strike action in Hollywood has put the majority of broadcast shows on hold. It started with the writers strike and it continues with the actors strike. The whole of production for anything that involves the WGA and SAG-AFTRA is on hold for the time being.
CBS wanted to see a normal fall. In May 2023, the schedule came out with NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 in the 10 p.m. ET/PT slot on Mondays. However, everything has had to be reworked. Now, Hawaii won’t air at all with the scripted shows being pushed to January 2024 at the earliest.
There is no guarantee that the shows will be able to return in January at this time. Of course, the strike action could end any moment. All it takes is the studios to get together to bring a fair deal when it comes to residuals and the use of AI, but we know that’s going to be harder than it sounds. All studios have to agree before bringing a deal to the two unions on strike. However, once the strikes end, we could see shows ready within a few months, which, at this point, would allow for a January start.
NCIS: Hawaii is available to stream on Paramount+.
