NCIS Season 21 is not coming to CBS in August 2023
We are more than ready to see what Torres will do when NCIS Season 21 premieres. CBS isn’t ready for us. Well, more like, the show isn’t ready for us.
We left Nick Torres in a precarious situation. He was holding a gun at someone who certainly recognized him, and this guy realized that Nick was serious in his intentions. The question now is whether Torres will change his whole life by getting revenge.
The only way to find out is through new episodes of the series. The bad news is we’re not getting new episodes in August. Of course, that’s normal. We don’t usually see the show return until September of each year, but that’s not going to be the case in 2023.
When will NCIS Season 21 premiere on CBS?
CBS has had to change everything about its fall schedule. This is all linked to the strike action going on in Hollywood. It started with the writers in May 2023 and then the actors joined in in July. Production has come to a complete halt for everything that involves the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, and this includes the broadcast shows.
NCIS Season 21 is not expected until January 2024 at the earliest. CBS will bring us some reruns of the series throughout the fall, but it’s not the same as watching new episodes.
We can’t really say that we’ll definitely get episodes in January, though. This will all depend on when the strike action comes to an end, and this is set to be a long strike. The longest writers strike was 150 days, and the last time writers and actors went on strike together was in the 1960s. So, this is a historic moment, and nobody is backing down from their needs.
We’ll be sure to keep an eye on how things progress. Once the writers and actors are back at work (and we only want that when a fair deal is reached) then we’ll get more of an idea of when to expect the season.
NCIS is available to stream on Paramount+.
