Chicago PD Season 11 is not coming to NBC in August 2023

We’re ready to see Intelligence back in action, but there is some bad news. Chicago PD Season 11 is not on the list of premieres in August 2023.

If we are completely honest, we didn’t expect to see Chicago PD Season 11 in August. That would be without the current strike action. This is a fall series, and it takes the summer off for filming needs. We wouldn’t usually get to see the show return until the end of September.

The bad news is that won’t happen this year. We’re not going to see new episodes of the show at all in 2023. However, there are some reruns planned in the fall, although NBC hasn’t laid out the details of the reruns that we’ll get from the whole One Chicago franchise.

When will Chicago PD Season 11 premiere on NBC?

You now want to know when we can expect the season. Don’t expect it any time before January 2024. Even then, there isn’t any guarantee that we’ll get it right away in January.

NBC wanted to bring the show back in the fall. When the May Upfronts took place, NBC brought us a traditional fall lineup. This was just at the start of the WGA strike, and there were hopes that the studios and the union would be able to come to an agreement quickly. However, the strike has gone on for much longer than hoped for.

Now the actors have joined in. Both the writers and the actors have some similar concerns when it comes to contracts. It’s mostly about residuals from the streaming platforms and the use of AI for productions. Until there is some sort of fair deal on both, it’s unlikely that the writers and actors will go back to work.

So, we could be in for a long one. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on everything that’s happened to get an idea of when we’ll see all our favorite shows return.
