The Equalizer Season 4 is happening, but we have to wait for it. It is not on the list of premieres on CBS in August 2023.

Eyes are on when our favorite crime dramas will return. It’s the summer, though, so if we’re honest, we didn’t expect anything just yet. The networks don’t bring back their biggest shows in August. This is still one of the worst times for the live ratings as people spend their time outside where it’s sunny and warm!

We’re used to seeing the shows return in the fall. While The Equalizer initially got a midseason start, it proved to be one of the strongest shows on CBS, so it wasn’t surprising to see it move to the fall. What about this year? When can we expect the fourth season to premiere?

When will The Equalizer Season 4 premiere on CBS?

This is where we get a bit of bad news. The Equalizer Season 4 is not part of the fall schedule. Yes, originally it was, but things had to change.

Back in May, CBS brought us a traditional fall schedule. That included The Equalizer on Sunday nights. While the writers strike had just started, there was hope that a fair deal would quickly happen and the writers could get back to work.

That didn’t happen. Then in the middle of July, the actors joined the writers. This has now led to all of production shutting down on the scripted shows for the networks. Very few scripted shows are coming back in the fall. None of them are returning on CBS.

The earliest we’ll get the Queen Latifah series is January 2024. There is no guarantee of this just yet. We’ll have to see how the strike action continues and when everyone gets back to work. Only then will we be able to make some estimations as to when shows can return to air.
