McCoy and is team are ready for more, but it’s going to take some time. When will we see Law & Order Season 23 premiere on NBC?
We are more than ready to see the OG series head back to our screens. The good news is NBC wants the series to come back. It was renewed for a 23rd season.
The bad news is we won’t get it just yet. Of course, under normal circumstances, we wouldn’t expect the season to arrive in August. The summer is a time for the big shows to film and they tend to arrive in September or early October at the latest. This year is very different, but we still won’t see the series arrive in August.
When will Law & Order Season 23 premiere on NBC?
The original plan was for the series to arrive in the fall. This was despite the WGA strike that had just started. Like CBS, NBC had hoped there would be enough time to get the writers back to work and get production started. That didn’t happen, and then the actors joined the writers.
Now without any production happening, the networks have planned out their falls. NBC has decided to push Law & Order Season 23 to the midseason like most other scripted shows. There isn’t a date just yet, but the earliest we’ll see it is in January 2024. We’ll know more of when the show can come back when the strike action comes to an end.
However, the fall isn’t going to be without any of the Law & Order teams. Thursdays will start off with reruns in the first hour of the night. It is going to be a mixture of the shows each week until production is able to get started and new episodes can air on the network.
Law & Order is available to stream on Peacock.
