We know not to expect the big broadcast shows to come back in the summer. When will we see Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 premiere?

We would absolutely love to see Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 in August. The truth is we just didn’t expect it. Even under normal circumstances, we wouldn’t expect to see the show return in the summer months. This is when the live ratings take a big dip as people spend more time outside in the good weather.

This year is going to be very different, though. The show isn’t coming back at all in 2023. This was the plan from May, and it had nothing to do with the strike action.

When will Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 come to NBC?

We’re not expecting the series until January 2024 at the earliest. Now, some of this will depend on the current strike action, but there always a plan to delay this series.

NBC cut the show down to 13 episodes for the season. At the May Upfronts, the networks announced that the series would be held until the midseason, with Thursday nights being about the other two Law & Order shows and the new series Found. Now, we’ll only get Found as a show with new episodes out of the original plan.

Organized Crime can’t film until the strike action is finished. There is some hope that the writers will be back to work soon. Negotiations with the studios have started up again. As long as there’s a fair deal, we’re in support of the writers returning to work. They can start on scripts while the actors finish their negotiations—and again, we want to see a fair deal reached.

Until all that happens, there is no filming happening. That could delay the return of more shows than just the fall lineup.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is available to stream on Peacock.
