When does SWAT Season 6 arrive on Netflix?
Fans of SWAT have been happy to watch old episodes of the series on Netflix. Now they finally know when SWAT Season 6 will join the rest for some binge-watching.
For a brief time, it appeared SWAT Season 6 would be the last one for the CBS drama. In May, the network announced the show was unexpectedly canceled after six seasons. It came as a shock to many, including the show’s cast and crew, with Shemar Moore posting a video complaining about it.
The backlash was so great that CBS reversed its decision just days later to renew SWAT for a seventh and final season. That would have hit this fall, but the ongoing strikes in Hollywood mean it’s not likely to air until 2024.
Season 6 had a lot of action and drama for the series, from Hondo handling the birth of his child to Tan’s marriage ending to the introduction of new team member Zoe Powell (Anna Enger Ritch). There was also Luca discovering he had a half-sister and Hondo ready to tie the knot with Nichelle.
That’s a lot for fans to digest, but thankfully, Netflix is set to premiere Season 6 soon.
When does SWAT Season 6 come to Netflix?
SWAT being on Netflix may be surprising, given that most CBS shows stream on Paramount+. However, as SWAT is co-produced by Sony, they have the option to stream the show on Netflix as well thanks to a recent Sony-Netflix deal. Seasons 1-5 already arrived in May.
Now, it’s confirmed Season 6 will arrive on Friday, Sept. 1. All 22 episodes of Season 6 will come to the streaming platform.
So as fans await word on when SWAT Season 7 premieres, they can enjoy all six previous seasons in September to keep fans entertained.
SWAT Seasons 1-5 are now streaming on Netflix, with Season 6 arriving Friday, Sept. 2.
